I’ve been loving this style lately - but with colored or opaque black tights instead of socks.

Toe Tapping Flats.
Perhaps it is the name, but every time I look at these I think “Fred Astaire”.  Slim, simple, elegant, and a little careless while remaining ever so proper.  Rather like the man himself, don’t you think?

Lucky Loop Flats.
Alright.  Please tell me what there is not to love about these flats. I think I will forever love this color combination.

Petal Pushing Flats.
I feel that somehow these flats have been wrongly named.  To me they conjure up images of buried treasure or an old figurine in a hidden garden. What would you name them?

Sea Flower Heels.
My thoughts are taking a more elegant turn.  Aren’t these stunning?  A close-up is absolutely necessary.  I will not allow these heels to go unappreciated.

Skylight Mary-Janes.
They well deserve the name.

My Turn

Inspired by Elfride’s wonderful succession of modcloth posts, I decided to show some of my favorites from Anthropologie (because someone’s gotta do it).

So, get ready.

Get set.

Go.

Tea Leaves Dress in Sage
by Modcloth Fashion.
We’ve read the tea leaves at the bottom of your cup, and divined that fabulous frocks are certainly in your future. Maybe your good fortune begins with this frilly, Victorian-inspired dress? We love the sage green hue, the demure floral pattern, and the voluminous skirt with its puckered bubble hem. We’ve foreseen you in this very dress, standing in front of a mirror and admiring all the little details - the frilly sleeves, ruffled bib, wide sash tie, and silky full lining. Pair this elegant garment with patterned knee highs, a cameo necklace, and saccharine sweet Mary Janes for a predictably lovely look.

I love how the pattern and color is so casual, but the skirt is so fancy.

Ode to Joy Dress.
Modcloth fashion.
Strike up a masterpiece of a look by slipping into this symphony of a dress! Sure to give a delightful tenor to your outfit, this peacock-hued, A-line frock sings with the accent of a flattering waist tie, and trills with the addition of a feminine flounce to the crossover neckline. Take this dress to an immediately cute coda by harmonizing it with wicker espadrilles, a chorus of charm necklaces, embroidered wristlets, and a feathered hair clip!

I think I could probably wear this dress forever.  True story.
